Welcome to Circulo. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting any personal data you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you play our circle estimation calibration game and use our services.

We collect information to support game capabilities and enable global standings. Depending on how you interact with Circulo, we may collect the following types of information:

• Local Profile Data: Callsign and geometric badge (avatar) stored locally in your browser's LocalStorage to track stats locally.
• Google Account Information (Optional): If you choose to link your Google account via Supabase Auth, we access and retrieve your email address, unique user ID, and profile name. We do not access your Google Drive, contacts, or other personal account files.
• Gameplay Statistics: Number of runs played, average estimation precision scores, perfect rounds, and unlocked achievements. This data is synced to our secure server database (Supabase) if you have linked your account, and submitted to public leaderboards if you participate in competitive modes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• To synchronize and restore your game calibration statistics, configurations, and achievements across multiple devices.
• To host and display competitive entries on the global leaderboards (where only your callsing, avatar, and score are publicly visible).
• To analyze overall game performance statistics and debug gameplay features.

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We only share information with third parties in the following scenarios:

• Database and Hosting Providers: We use Supabase (a secure database platform) to authenticate players and store score statistics.
• Public Standings: High scores and accompanying Callsigns and Avatars will be displayed publicly on global leaderboards.
• Compliance with Law: We may disclose information if required to do so by legal authority or court order.

4. Data Retention and Security

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your information. Your synced statistics are stored securely behind firewalls managed by Supabase. Your unlinked data remains entirely on your local device. We retain synced profile data for as long as your account remains linked. You can delete your profile data at any time by choosing the "Reset Geometer Identity" option inside the game interface, which will clear local records and sign you out of your account.

5. Children's Privacy

Circulo is designed for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal info, please contact us to have it removed.

6. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
